Glass artist Deborah Katon joins us from Craft Alliance to demonstrate how she creates decorative glass bottles using both lampwork and blow techniques. Topics include the nature of glass, design and creation process, tools used, safety procedures and the science/art relationship of her work.
Metals Magic with Peg Fetter
View the process from start to finish as Peg Fetter demonstrates how to take found objects, combine them with poured metal decorations, and create a unique and beautiful piece of jewelry. Topics include creating a mold for the bracelet's decorative element, melting the metal for the mold, annealing the found metal object for the bracelet, forming the bracelet, attaching the decorative element and seeing examples of finished pieces.
