Premiered Dec. 10 University of Mary Hardin Baylor Performance Studies Students performed great poetry for an international webcast, hosted by the Apple Learning Interchange and the Temple Independent School District, in collaboration with the UMHB Performance Studies and Computer Graphics programs.
Dr. Diane Howard, UMHB Performance Studies professor, and the UMHB Performance Studies students presented Performing Poetry With Sense, Sound, and Soul. They addressed and demonstrated how to deliver poetry effectively. They emphasized the significance of understanding what the poets are conveying in the works, of recognizing the literary devices in the pieces, and of knowing the emotions behind each line.
